Franklin County Farm Bureau will be holding a Legislative Gathering on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the downstairs conference room at the Farmington Municipal Building.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet with Legislators from the area. Come to share any problems you are facing on your farm, concerns you are having or what the Legislature is doing right.
This year there are new Legislators plus ones who have been out of office for a time. This gathering is an ideal time to let them know of the diversity and importance of agriculture for this area and the state. A strong agricultural component is important, both for their constituents and the economy. Many Legislators don’t have a connection to agriculture so they do not understand this.
Light refreshments will be served.
