We actively participate in the implementation of American Farm Bureau Federation priority issues and help the Farm Bureau achieve a positive image for agriculture.
Leadership Development
Farm Bureau Women work to train themselves and others on how to be effective spokespersons for agriculture. Farm Bureau Women help develop opportunities for leadership positions both inside and outside the organization.
Be it through county Farm Bureau leadership roles, elected positions to civic groups or international leadership opportunities, there is a place for leadership development for all women in Farm Bureau.
Areas of Focus
Political Influence: Working with existing political education programs, American Farm Bureau Women strive to help others in agriculture learn more about the political process, be it from surfacing possible candidates to effective lobbying at county, state and national levels.
Farm Bureau Women work to make their operations more effective and efficient by lobbying designated priority issues that will affect their farms and families.
Agriculture Education: Through programs like Ag Day, National Farm-City Week and Food Check-Out Day, American Farm Bureau Women work to educate the public about the benefits of agriculture.
Farm Bureau Women recognize the importance of learning about agriculture while at school. That’s why all across the country, women in Farm Bureau are active in Agriculture in the Classroom programs, designed to teach children where their food and fiber come from.
AFBF Vision: AFBF is the recognized leading voice of American agriculture and the predominant force in agriculture policy development.
Consumers consider AFBF to be the most credible source of information regarding food and fiber safety, and the leading proponent of economically sound food and fiber production that enhances environmental quality.
Young people are attracted to agriculture production and marketing, which is considered one of the most desirable of careers, enabling the United States to continue as the world’s most efficient producer of high quality food and fiber.
